Abstract:

Three plants: Plant, top, horizontal, growing from l., "Sene" (family Leguminosae, subfamily Cesalpinioideae), Cassia acutifolia or C. angustifolia or C. obovata with kidney-shaped leguminus siliqus. Plant, center, "Serpillum" (family Lamiaceae, formerly Labiatae) Thymus serpyllum, Wild thyme, Lemon thyme, or T. vulgaris, Garden thyme, Common thyme, or Origanum dictamnus, Dittany of Crete. Plant, bottom, horizontal, growing from the l., "Saturagia" (family Lamiaceae, formerly Labiatae) Satureia hortensis, Summer Savory. Illustration for Platearius' Circa instans.
