Abstract:

150 plant species of the Ukraine including medicinal and fodder ones belonging to 43 families were studied for their antibiotic action. The active plant species are revealed and preparations inhibiting in vitro phytopathogenic bacteria are isolated from them. The strongest inhibitors are found in plants from the Asteraceae and Lamiaceae families. Essential oils obtained from Calendula officinalis and Thymus serpyllum are established to have a high antibiotic activity relative to plant bacterioses agents, mainly from the Corynebacterium and Xanthomonas genera
